Rockin' New Year!

Jared agreed to step up and be my date last night while Daddy was playing at his gig! What a fun time we had! We watched Disney, danced to the songs on it and ate lots of junk food....starting with sprinkled vanilla bean ice cream....Jared's favorite!

Then, we played the Wii. (Santa bought it for Tom and Jared 2 years ago). Jared and I were taking turns playing some airplane game on Wii Resort. It was fun! He had to show ME how to play! After a few games of that and after Jaime fell asleep, we took out the giant drawer of Legos and built a mini town, equipped with it's own New Year's "Ball."
Notice that Jared is surrounded by airplane stuff....his Lego planes and his books in the background. We spent hours looking through those, too!

Our town!

The Lego "New Year's Ball." That Jared is soooo creative! It was 100% HIS idea! The "ball" is actually a Lego head....HA!

Just before midnight, Jaime woke up for a bottle. So, I thought I would give Jared a bottle, too!

Just kidding, he couldn't WAIT to open the juice, but when he finally was able to drink it, he said, "It didn't really work for me, I didn't like it too much." Of course, later in the day, he wanted more..
I took one last photo of the boys in 2009 and another first photo of them in 2010. I put these both on Jaime's blog. It seemed like FOREVER before those boys went to bed. OK, it was about 1:00 A.M. One would think that they would have slept in, right... NOPE! Jaime woke up during the night and Jared woke up early! ARGH!
This morning we had sausage and french toast, made with some homemade bread our neighbor gave us, mmmmm! Jared's allergic to eggs, so he just ate the sausage!
Jared jumping around with his "sausage on a stick."

We hung out playing Wii today, basket ball was the game of choice! LOVE IT, that's MY sport! We played Legos, too, but those are really hard to play with when Jaime's floating around. Jared did manage to build this airplane today, though!

We talked about ice skating, but it seemed like the roads were too bad to go out, hopefully tomorrow or Sunday will be better. I really want to get out on the ice with Jared.
This evening, Tom made a pork dinner for all of us!
A meal fit for a King!

And so 2010 begins....
