Guppy!!!!

Jared playing with his Bakugans after swim lessons today.

I am pleased to announce that Jared passed his polliwog swim class tonight! He will start as a "guppy" in January! We are so proud of Jared. Those swimming lessons are a lot of hard work for Jared, especially since his back and shoulder muscles aren't strong. Swimming is a GREAT activity for Jared as it serves a dual purpose...it strengthens his back and shoulders and it's safe, "hemophilia approved" exercise!
Jaime's therapist looked at Jared's back, and she said for him not having the connective muscle to his scapulas, she felt that he has compensated rather well. She couldn't believe that he can swim the way he does. Of course, any time she's here when Jared comes home, she grabs him and makes him do stuff for her! HA! Can't wait for her to come when he's on break...PT times 2!

Jared's looking forward to Santa's arrival, Christmas can't come soon enough for him! I'm excited that both Tom and Jared will be home. Jared and I can do things together. I will be able to take Jared ice skating again! I missed doing it last year. Colleen and I took the kids ice skating last year, but being pregnant I was side lined. Not this year, though. I'm going to take Jared to Wade Oval to skate on "real" ice outside! Photos to come for sure.....

I'm off to bed!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Beary Merry Holiday!

As I mentioned on Jaime's World, Jared had his very first elementary school Christmas concert tonight. It was so incredibly cute! The kids were all dressed in bear colors. Brown, White, black...etc. Jared was a black bear. All of the kids wore "bear ears." Mrs. Graves (music teacher) did a wonderful job choreographing, teaching and rehearsing the kids. The kids not only had to sing, they had to "dance," too. Some of the children had "speaking" parts. They couldn't have been any cuter! :)
We had sooooo much fun tonight! We were really impressed, one the songs they sang was "Panda-monium," it was rhythmically hard, but the kids did a beautiful job with it. OK, Tom and I were probably the only ones thinking of the music score, we can't help it, we're musicians. I think Tom really enjoyed watching someone else host a music concert for once! He starts his "concert season" next week. He's at 4 schools, each will have concerts in the evening and I believe during school time, too. CRAZY!
Speaking of school concerts, Jared will get to perform during school tomorrow for the other students at Wickliffe Elementary. I think he really had fun! He was whipped at the end of it (of course, he had his swimming lessons just before the concert) and really hot, too. We just "HAD" to take him to Dairy Queen for a slushy! HA!
By 8:30 P.M. both boys were in bed! It was a nice night!
Here are the pics we took. They aren't good at all because we were so incredibly far back and didn't want to run through the crowd just to snap a photo. We have to protect ourselves from germs as much as we can, too!
Notice the bear ears on their heads?

Getting set up.

All of the 1st graders at WES.

Jared making a "bear" face and Jaime who was caught pulling his hat off outside after the concert!

Enjoy and have a nice evening!
