Poppy's Helicopter

Tonight, Jared said he wanted to make a special helicopter! One that was Poppy's favorite color...Orange!
Here's the final product! He did it all by himself! From drawing to cutting to coloring and gluing it! He did an AWESOME job! He's so creative!
Dad, I asked Jared to send it to you, but he said he wanted to keep it and just send you a picture, I'm thinking that this will be in your hands in the near future! :)
Enjoy the picture!!!!

Disney on Ice!

Grammy treated Jared and I to Disney on Ice this afternoon! We all had a really great time! Thanks, Grammy!
Jared said he liked the princesses the best because someday he wants to ice skate in the show as a prince and throw the girls in the air! HA!
Here are some of the pics I took before my camera died! (I didn't get pics of the characters from Toy Story or the holiday finale. Grammy did, so I'll have to steal her camera for the pics!)
Watching the slide show is your "free" glimpse into the show! Just for the record the slide show has put the pictures in exactly the opposite order that I uploaded them, so you can watch the show backwards! HA!
Enjoy!

The Legos Return....

So, Jared's Legos are finally out of time-out and we sure got busy building!
Here are all of the planes, including a "Smart car" and terminal that Jared and I built this evening!
The final pieces.

The planes "parked" for the night!

Jared "parked" for the night...with a little snuggle from Mom!

Happy long Weekend! :)

Lauren's 3rd Birthday

Jared and I went to Lauren's 3rd birthday party at the bowling alley yesterday afternoon. It was really fun! Thanks, Colleen for inviting us...we really had a great time!
Here is a slide show of pics from Lauren's party! You'll notice that Connor and Jared were just as interested in Lauren's presents as Lauren was! HA! Princess parties for both boy's 7th birthdays...tee, hee!
Enjoy!

Wall Art....

Jared has a really bad habit of "drawing" on the bathroom wall his finger nails. We have a red wall in our downstairs bathroom that easily shows scratches. The wall was this color when we moved in, I've never loved it, but thought it was "different" so, we've left it.
Anyway, I think Jared gets "bored" in there and gets creative...this is what I found today.

Now, we should probably yell at him or something, but it's just marked with his nail, no crayon or anything like that. The boy hates to color, yet he can draw a picture like this...a helicopter with it's rotors and tail fin! I think it's rather impressive (and harmless). Someday we'll be sad when we paint over it! HA!

Just wanted to share my new wall art with all of you! :)

Ice Skating/Bowling!

Today, I took Jared ice skating at the Euclid Ice Rink. Coincidentally, I found out that they are offering lessons again, with it being only 6 minutes away and cheaper than Mentor, he will start having lessons there next week! :) It was really fun...he fell about 6 times, I didn't fall at all, but I sure walked away with some nasty bruises on my ankles from the skates hitting me in a funny place! It's always fun to skate, Jared's much better than I am! He was showing off skating on one foot and doing a jumping spin! Not to mention skating backwards, I'm so jealous! Here are a few pictures that I took on the ice, I had more, but for some reason my camera deleted them...it's still kind of acting funny and the pictures are looking a bit grainy from it's jump into Titi's coffee on Christmas Eve.

After ice skating, we went bowling with Michael, Paula, Chloe and Connor. (Chloe's Jared's little girlfriend). Thank you guys for the awesome gifts for the boys! They are absolutely PERFECT! :)
Tom won our bowling game today...darn it! All of the kids (and adults) had lots of fun! We even took Jaime with us, after all he hasn't left the house at all since our Cincy trip...I think it's good to "air" him out once and a while!
Here are pics from today's bowling adventure!

Jared has only one more day before school starts again! He's not very excited about it, but I sure am! We're hoping to get together with the Smith's tomorrow for yet another bowling adventure, we'll see!
Signing off for tonight....

Rockin' New Year!

Jared agreed to step up and be my date last night while Daddy was playing at his gig! What a fun time we had! We watched Disney, danced to the songs on it and ate lots of junk food....starting with sprinkled vanilla bean ice cream....Jared's favorite!

Then, we played the Wii. (Santa bought it for Tom and Jared 2 years ago). Jared and I were taking turns playing some airplane game on Wii Resort. It was fun! He had to show ME how to play! After a few games of that and after Jaime fell asleep, we took out the giant drawer of Legos and built a mini town, equipped with it's own New Year's "Ball."
Notice that Jared is surrounded by airplane stuff....his Lego planes and his books in the background. We spent hours looking through those, too!

Our town!

The Lego "New Year's Ball." That Jared is soooo creative! It was 100% HIS idea! The "ball" is actually a Lego head....HA!

Just before midnight, Jaime woke up for a bottle. So, I thought I would give Jared a bottle, too!

Just kidding, he couldn't WAIT to open the juice, but when he finally was able to drink it, he said, "It didn't really work for me, I didn't like it too much." Of course, later in the day, he wanted more..
I took one last photo of the boys in 2009 and another first photo of them in 2010. I put these both on Jaime's blog. It seemed like FOREVER before those boys went to bed. OK, it was about 1:00 A.M. One would think that they would have slept in, right... NOPE! Jaime woke up during the night and Jared woke up early! ARGH!
This morning we had sausage and french toast, made with some homemade bread our neighbor gave us, mmmmm! Jared's allergic to eggs, so he just ate the sausage!
Jared jumping around with his "sausage on a stick."

We hung out playing Wii today, basket ball was the game of choice! LOVE IT, that's MY sport! We played Legos, too, but those are really hard to play with when Jaime's floating around. Jared did manage to build this airplane today, though!

We talked about ice skating, but it seemed like the roads were too bad to go out, hopefully tomorrow or Sunday will be better. I really want to get out on the ice with Jared.
This evening, Tom made a pork dinner for all of us!
A meal fit for a King!

And so 2010 begins....
